ACCELERATED FAVOR

Flwc   -

Amos 9:13 “The time will come,” says the LORD, “when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine!

I recently shared this message with our church Accelerated Favor.  I am confident many people experience the favor of God in their lives, but few walk in accelerated favor.  That is what the writer of Amos is saying.  You can walk in a season where the fruit of life (the blessings of God) come faster than you can keep up with them.

Deut. 28:2  “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.

How exciting to live in a time of expedited favor.  We should come to expect these seasons in our lives.  Yes we will sometimes lack and want for things, even get frustrated – but hold on child of God.  I declare a season of accelerated favor is coming into your life.

This is what the beggar by the Gate called Beautiful encountered.  After so many days and weeks of not receiving, he was healed quickly.  An immediate miracle.  A fast blessing!

There were three things he had to deal with to get his miracle.

  • The Beggar’s Label

He was known as the “cripple” by the gate.  We don’t know his real name but we do know his label.  When people referenced him they called him cripple.  What labels have you been defined by in your life?  Maybe not smart, weak, addicted, mean etc.  When a person hears those labels enough we start to believe what they have said about us.  Words are powerful.

It’s time to tear off the labels that have defined you for so long.  The bible says “He that the son has set free is free indeed”

  • The Beggar’s Lameness

We know from Acts 3:7 the lame part was his ankles and feet.  A small part of his body held back his entire life.  He couldn’t function because some of his limbs (not all) were lame.  To be lame means to impair movement.  Possibly you have an area of your life that is “lame” and not functioning properly.  As a result, you can’t move forward.  I believe God can touch ever area that is lame.

  • The Beggar’s Limits

According to Lev. 21 in the bible, he wasn’t permitted to go into the temple.  It was as if he was on a leash.  Even when he tried, that leashed pulled him back.  He could only get close to church but never experience the blessings of being in the temple.

My question to you – what in your life has held you back?  What part of you needs released for you to go on and be what God calls you to be?  Break free from all limitations in Jesus name.

  • Resuscitated Expectations

Life changed for this man and changed quickly.  One moment he was settled in for another day of begging and expecting his family to come carry him home.  However, two spirit filled men of God by the name of Peter and John brought him hope and healing.  In Acts 3 they picked him up and he was healed.  But it didn’t stop there – they took him to church!

And it all started when his expectation was revived or resuscitated.

Acts 3:5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

What are you expecting from God today?  Trust Him again and believe in what He can do for your life.
