HELP ME HOLY SPIRIT
While Jesus was with the disciples, they had confidence and faith to believe Jesus could do anything. They saw the blind healed, the dead raised, thousands fed with just a couple fish and five loaves of bread.
Fast forward just a short season and they find themselves denying Jesus, hiding in homes and scared of what they faced. Does that sound familiar? There was time when I trusted God explicitly with no reservation. But now something I face has challenged my faith and I’m afraid and don’t have the answers.
What is the answer? We find a powerful verse of scripture in the book of John.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
The cross represents atonement, the empty grave represents my eternal life but the ascension of Jesus represents MY POWER through the Holy Spirit. Life is so much easier with the Holy Spirit.
